Interim, Part-Time HR Generalist – Wimbledon / Covent Garden

Interim HR Generalist, 6-9 month fixed term contract, flexible days & hours – Wimbledon / Covent Garden.

Emerging Communications is a leading Chinese Digital Marketing agency. We have a 6-9 month fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist / Officer / Administrator / Manager to join our close-knit team and oversee the day to day management and administration of our HR function.

As a team of 25 in the UK, split across 3 offices, we are looking for someone who will oversee all HR administration, including the recruitment process, preparing new starter documentation, equipment and inductions, managing absence, overseeing performance reviews and appraisals, pensions and payroll admin and dealing with any HR issues as they arise from the team. We also have a team in Shanghai, who you will have some involvement with via a 3rd party.

In addition to this, as a Tier 2 visa sponsor, we are looking for someone with experience of managing the visa application process, along with the necessary document administration, record keeping and reporting experience that is associated with it.

Whilst this is a standalone role, you will have the backup of a 3rd party HR consultancy for any queries, who also provide and support our digital HR Management platform. In addition, for any immigration and visa issues we partner with a law firm, who are on hand to provide advice and guidance where necessary and our payroll is outsourced to a 3rd party.

We are a fast-paced business, which has grown extremely quickly, so we are looking for someone with the ability to quickly adapt to changes as they happen, whilst helping to implement new processes that will facilitate growth. This role would most likely suit someone who has experience of working in a standalone role and a smaller business / start-up environment.

The position is expected to be part-time, with some flexibility over hours and days worked, as well as potential to work from home occasionally. We are an extremely flexible business with a strong team culture that we’re very proud of. This role could be based in Wimbledon or Covent Garden and there would be a requirement to visit the other office around once every week or two as a minimum.
